The first LA-4A album since 2016's {Phonautograph} sees the acidic and jacking textures return with pensive and wistful passages. Folio gathers entries from a 7 year period, bound by threads that stretch through the Delft and LA-4A playbook. Some are sketches that grew to images, some are stories reduced to simple lines.
The collection's face is a custom hand drawing by Chicago artist and DJ Justin Aulis Long whose articulated and layered lines gesture at perspective and flatness, depth of space and time, ancient stories and modern mythos.
